OJC 50th Anniversary Weekend –
OJC at 50 – A retrospective 1959 -2009
OJC 50th Anniversary Digital Journal |

During the weekend of November 6, 7 and 8 the Orangetown Jewish Center celebrated its 50th anniversary. Founded in 1959, the OJC is a Conservative congregation serving Rockland and Bergen Counties. With over 500 members, the OJC is devoted to promoting the highest ethical, moral and religious standards.
What began 50 years ago as a small community of Jewish people committed to creating a viable place of worship has become a vibrant center for Judaic worship, learning and growth in Orangetown, NY.
The weekend of November 6th was very much about community. Members both old and new came together and celebrated a tradition of service. While some of our members have relocated to faraway places, they returned for this wonderful weekend.
