The Educational Director's Message
Shalom ! At the Orangetown Jewish Center Nursery School our number one priority is that our children develop a lifelong love of learning in a safe, stimulating environment that provides innovative educational experiences and loving care. Our curriculum's most important aspect- developmentally appropriate practice- is based on the New York State's Department Of Education Preschool Planning Guide- Building a Foundation of Development of Language and Literacy in the Early Years, research of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and decades of experience as Early Childhood educators.
Our professional staff of Nursery School teachers and assistants have created an innovative, enjoyable, stimulating program geared toward promoting the personal growth and development of each child-intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our classes focus on play, socialization, school readiness, and fostering a strong Jewish identity. We introduce your child to the thrill of learning, which once experienced, will follow them all through their life!
Parents are a vital part of the Orangetown Jewish Center Nursery School community and we consider raising a child a team effort. We invite you to visit us, learn with us, and make new connections.
