WE LOVED OBSERVING MITZVAH DAY 2025 WITH SO MANY MEMBERS OF THE OJC FAMILY - THANK YOU FOR A GREAT DAY OF PERFORMING MITZVOT TOGETHER IN COMMUNITY. UPDATED INFORMATION FOR MITZVAH DAY 2026/5787 WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE FALL OF 2026.

MITZVAH DAY BREAKFAST RUN

Please join us for the 2025 Breakfast Run to NYC. This OJC Mitzvah Day experience is very powerful and usually quite meaningful for all attendees. We request participants be in 8th grade and up unless directly supervised by their adult. We will be carpooling from the OJC. We are gathering at the OJC entrance on Sunday, November 23 at 7:30 AM and will return by 10:30 AM. 

In advance of Mitzvah Day, we are soliciting donations of new clothing items that we will bring with us to NYC:

*NEW underwear and long underwear
*NEW undershirts
*NEW socks
*NEW or GENTLY WORN gloves, hats, sweaters, coats

We are also accepting monetary donations to purchase clothing.

Please sign up to participate and indicate your donations by Sunday, November 16 and please bring donations to the OJC by Tuesday, November 18.

 


MITZVAH DAY FAMILY BOWLING: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 6:30 - 9:15 PM

This event is for 3rd grade and up without an adult. However, families are not only welcome but encouraged! New City Bowl is on North Main Street, New City. After bowling (around 8:30 PM), we'll walk/drive over to Carvel in New City until around 9:15 PM for a sweet treat. 

BOWLING COST: $20 per child 14 and younger; $25 for children 15 and older & adults.

All proceeds benefit Jawonio.
